Roast

I went from “Zero” to “Hero” in all of 30 seconds.

Isn’t it amazing how some people see a minor issue as a giant hurdle while others see it as nothing to get excited about………………..case in point, “The Roast”.

Some time ago, my wife Marianne and I were having family members over for dinner and “The Roast” hadn’t finished defrosting as of ham the day of the dinner.
Marianne of course was freaking out, saying, “what are we going to do, how can I defrost this roast it’s far too big to fit into the microwave as it is and I can’t cut the roast in half with a carving knife, it’s still frozen rock solid”……………………….No worries Marianne leave it to me.

After disinfecting one of my hand saws, I brought “The Roast” outside and proceeded to cut the problem down to size.

Needless to say, good old Marianne was a happy camper that day and we all ate a wonderful dinner with numerous family members. That morning I went from “Zero” to “Hero” in 30 seconds.

Life is good when you’re a woodworker……………………………..

Addressing “The Roast”.

Choosing the best line of attack.

Beginning the cut.

Almost done…………

Nothing to do now but clean the saw and prepare for the feast.
Not bad for 30 seconds of work.
